Payment
I accept credit card payment and e-checks through Paypal. Work will begin on a site only after the payment has cleared through Paypal.
For pre-made blog and boutique templates, all payment is due up front before work begins. For custom designs, half of the total is due before work begins, with the remaining half payable once the design is complete.
Communication
My primary form of communication is via email. It is vital that you are available to be reached by email, and that you can check your email regularly once the design process has begun. Please also be sure to check your junk mail folder if you have not received an email from me within 48 hours after placing a design order.
If at any time a customer cannot be reached via email for 7 consecutive days once the design process has begun, I reserve the right to cease work on their design.
Refunds and Cancellation
There are no refunds for any design work already begun (this applies to templates as well as custom designs). If you change your mind after the design process has begun, you forfeit any monies paid.
If you change your mind before any design work has begun on your site, I will refund your money, minus the Paypal fee.
Copyright
All designs (including graphics, coding, and design layouts) are property of Green Tangerine Design, and are protected under copyright (unless otherwise stated).
All graphics and completed page layouts are created by Green Tangerine Design (or it’s licensors), and are not to be re-sold, re-formatted, re-used, revised, changed, shared, given away, deconstructed or reconstructed in part or in whole by the client who purchased the design items, or by any party operating on their behalf. Designs may only be used for the name/domain name for which it was purchased, in the manner stated at the time of purchase.
By purchasing pre-made designs, you are purchasing one non-exclusive, non-transferable limited use license. The copyright for the design and all design elements remains with Green Tangerine Design. Although layered source graphics are not released with pre-made designs, merged web-format graphics are released to the purchasing customer to be used in the manner for which they were intended under the limited use license.
Design Credits
Once your design is installed on your site, you are required to display on your site at all times the design credits for Green Tangerine Design, as well as a link to this website. The design credit and link must be visibly displayed as long as any portion or element of my design remains on your site.
Portfolio
By purchasing a design, you agree to an image of your completed blog design and/or any graphic elements being displayed on the Green Tangerine website, along with a link to your site. If you would prefer for the image not to be linked to your site, it is your responsibility to inform me of your preference.
Additionally, I reserve the right to feature your website design on my blog or other social networking sites.
Backups and Site Content
Although I have never lost site content when installing a new design before, prior to every design installation (for custom designs as well as pre-made templates) I ask that the client back up their entire site. Green Tangerine Design is not responsible for any site content lost or damaged due to failure to adequately back up your site.
Revisions
Custom Designs: With any custom design, the client is provided a reasonable amount of design proofs and revisions to ensure that every client gets a design that they are completely pleased with. However, if the amount of design revisions becomes excessive (that is, the revisions cause the design to take much longer than usual and begin to cut into the next client’s time), I will alert the client to this and let them know at what point additional revisions will begin incurring additional fees.
Pre-Made Design Templates: Purchase of a pre-made design template does not include design proofs or revisions. The purchase of a custom homepage layout or color and font changes does include one round of revisions. Additional revisions for templates can be purchased for a fee of $20 per revision.
Privacy
Green Tangerine Design takes your privacy very seriously. I will NEVER share, sell, or give away any of your personal information.
To install designs, I will need access to your user name and password in order to log in. I do not keep or store this information after the design project is completed. Furthermore, I recommend that clients change their password after the design is installed.
Support
Custom designs: 2 days of support will be provided following the completion of any custom design. I will let you know when your 2 days of support begins, and during this time, please look over your site very carefully to find any questions or concerns you may have and include them in an email to me.
Pre-Made Design Templates: 1 hour of support will be provided following the completion of any template design installation. After your template is installed, please look over your site very carefully to find any questions or concerns you have, and include them in an email to me.
In order to give each client dedicated time and attention, I am unable to provide support outside of these time frames without charging my hourly fee.
I can not guarantee support on sites that have changed, altered, or removed any parts of the design or coding that I installed; I will provide support on a case-by-case basis under these circumstances for an hourly rate of $20 per hour.
Wait Time
Please see the Design Schedule for current estimated wait times for design services. Upon payment for your custom design or pre-made template, you will be quoted with a more accurate time frame in which your design will be completed, barring any unforeseen circumstances and provided that you are available to communicate via email once the design process has begun.
Browsers
Design appearance may vary from browser to browser. All of my designs are tested for functionality in current versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer, although certain design elements may not be supported in all browsers, particularly Internet Explorer. I recommend using the most current version of Firefox, Chrome or Safari.
Potential Project Acceptance
I reserve the right to refuse to accept design projects at my discretion.
Your payment for any Green Tangerine Design services constitutes acceptance of these policies.
