Ready for a new design, but not sure how it works or where to begin? Here’s a beginners guide to help you get started!

Select your design services: Visit the design services page and choose which service(s) will best suit your needs. Consider what type of site you will have (blog, e-commerce boutique, or informational site/blogsite), as well as your budget and time constraints. Decide if you would like a pre-made blog or boutique design template (which cost a fraction of the price and can be installed in a matter of days), or if you would like a custom design (which will be created just for you to match your design preferences and website needs). Your domain and hosting: If you haven’t already, you’ll need to purchase your domain name (www.yoursite.com) and a hosting plan. Depending on your needs, I can recommend one of my preferred hosting companies that I am familiar with. If you have an e-commerce boutique or shop, or if you are purchasing a pre-made boutique template, check out my list of compatible hosts – they provide many features that make running an e-commerce site very easy, without any knowledge of HTML necessary.
The Design Process:
Custom DesignsTell me a little bit about your design needs Complete the Custom Design Questionnaire. I will contact you after reviewing your questionnaire to discuss the details of your design and provide you with a custom design price quote and estimated project start and completion date, based on your needs and preferences. Payment You will receive an invoice for the deposit (50% of the total design fee) via Paypal. Once the transaction is completed, you will be placed in the design queue. Design begins You will receive an email when work on your project begins.I will create and email you design proofs, based on your preferences stated in the design questionnaire. You can then give me feedback and I will make revisions accordingly. During this time, we will need to communicate frequently via email, so please be sure to check your email often to ensure the design process maintains momentum and remains on schedule. Final design Once you are 100% happy with the design, you can approve the final design. At this point the remainder of your balance is due (the remaining 50%). Design install Once the final payment is received, I will need your user name and password to your website in order to install. If you use WordPress, you can temporarily add me as an administrator. I will also need your FTP (or C-panel)login information (from your hosting provider) to ensure complete installation of your new site design. I will install the new design, and contact you when the installation is complete. Support During the 2 day period following installation, you will have the opportunity to carefully look through your new site design and then contact me with any questions or issues that may arise.

Pre-Made Design TemplatesTell me a little bit about your design needs Complete the design template order form Payment After completing the form, you will be redirected to Paypal, where you can purchase the template and any add-ons. Design customization and install I will customize the design template with the information your provide on your template order form. To install your new design, I will need your user name and password to your website, as well as your FTP or C-panel log in information. I will install the new design, usually in less than a week after your purchase, and contact you when the installation is complete. Support After your template is installed, I will be happy to provide one hour of support, answering any questions or resolving any issues with the new design.
